The Vision

Explicit is built upon a simple principle: to raid. We're looking to keep a small tight-knit guild together to enjoy and raid content in World of Warcraft, or whatever other games come out at a later date.

We value quality over quantity and are not looking to wholesale recruit members just to fill slots. We place a large emphasis on personality, but we also expect people to know how to play the game. We need people who are self starters, who are dedicated to organized raiding.

Experience

The leaders of the guild have known each other for several years. Many of us were leaders of a top-ten Horde guild in existance today: Fusion. We still maintain good relations with our "alma matter", and some of us are still inactive members.

We have experience leading raiding guilds and have a proven track record to show for it. We have either run, or been members of top guilds on several servers. Additionally, some of us have completed all content in TBC to date including Archimonde and Illidan. We know what it takes to run a successful and drama-free guild.

Drama

Our drama policy is stereotypical: we do not tolerate drama. However, unlike other upstart guilds that make the blanket statement, our guild management experience has led us to developing policies and communicating effectively so as to not lead to high drama situations. We do our best to handle contentious situations and fully communicate the direction of the guild. The leadership is constantly looking to improve the guild and it's policies to make everyone happy. Along with this policy goes one of our few rules: don't make an ass out of yourself in-game or on the realm forums. We take pride in our reputation and do not want a bad name.

Loot

After having implemented every loot system under the sun in the past few years in Wow, as well as our times in DAOC and EverQuest, we've found that a small tight-knit group of people in a guild to lend itself towards the "officer loot" system. We do not take this as a dictatorial approach to loot, but we look to solicit input from the guild when upgrades are very tight. By building a positive team environment, more often than not, members will pass to others or a negotiation can take place. The fact of the matter is, none of us are playing for purple pixels, we're playing to enjoy the content. Ask yourself,
"Do I want gear to raid or do I want to raid for gear?". If it's the first of the two, we may be a very nice fit for you. If this policy has you concerned that you're not going to get all the loot you want, perhaps this isn't somewhere you can call home.

Attitude

We pride ourselves on having good, fun, friendly people. We expect our members to be considerate of others and to participate in a positive team environment. Everyone has a bad day once in awhile, but we don't want people in the guild that undermine others, our Vision or what we believe in. We want people to be self-starters as well as to go out of their way for members.

Raiding

We are a raiding guild, above all else, we're not a "socializing/casual" guild, we like to raid and PVP, that's what we've always done in WOW and look to continue. We raid 25 man instances 4 nights a week (Sunday - Wednesday). Raids begin at 8pm EST and end at 11:30pm all four nights. We expect near 100% attendance on those nights from our members. The rest of the week is not *required raiding* and is alloted for 10 man content, PvP, 5 mans, and time off that we as adults need every now and then.
